Undergone Prostatectomy. Seminal Vesicles Invasion In Both Margins Uninvolved By Invasive Carcinoma. What Treatment Can Be Prescribed?

husband had prostatectomy after a Gleeson score of 8, psa at 7 (went from 2.5 to 7 in less than 1 yr. Pathology reports stated all margins were clean, 3 nodes tested and clean but seminal vesicles invasion in both. margins uninvolved by invasive carcinoma. After 6 wks. the psa came back at 4.7 and a recheck came back at 5.64. the surgeon feels it has spread somewhere else, so started him on the 2 shots of firmagon. What do you prescribe for treatment at this point?

Hi

The PSA is considered normal if below 4. I think he is on correct treatment for now, though hormones work only if the tumor is hormone sensitive. It can also be combined with a surgery after consultation with a urologist.
