Ultrasound Taken During Pregnancy Shows Heartbeat And Embryo But Why Unable To Measure It?
Took home pregnancy test came back positive not sure of last period. Went to doctors had ultrasound they saw the embryo & a heartbeat but they couldn't measure the embryo, the ultrasound machine would not calculate it... is that normal? I have been feeling sick for about a month now nausea vomiting cold chills I was wondering if that was normal also. The ultra sound tech said it was really early in the pregnacy but my ob and radiologist never heard of them being able to see/hear heartbeat but not be able to take measurements .,,,

It is a very unusual situation where fetal pole is not clearly seen but heart beat present. As the pregnany is intrauterine there is no hurry. kindly go back for usg after a week by which the embryo would have grown enough to be measured.
Some degree of nausea is ok and indicates on going healthy pregnancy.
