Ultrasonography Of Uterus Done. What Does The Result Indicate?

Hi, i am 27years old. In my ultrasonography report posterior myometrium is found relatively thich. Endometrial echoes are thickened (1.3 cm) Folllicles is 3-4 mm in size. There is also a mention of adenomyosis. However last year there was a mention of 1.4 cm cysts(most likely functional) which is not mentioned in my recent report. Is this ok?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Cysts have the potential to resolve on their own and if it is not seen in this present ultrasound then it is quite possible that it is gone.

Adenomyosis refers to the presence of endometrial tissue ( the tissue that forms the lining of the uterus) within the walls of the uterus (the myometrium). The cause is unknown in most persons, in some persons it may be related to trauma.

It can be associated with pain that may worsen during the periods, abdominal cramps, heavy bleeding and clots, pressure on the bladder.

There are different medications that can be used for treatment.

I hope this helps
