Tripped Down The Stairs And Ankle Is Swollen. Advice On What To Do

I recently tripped down a stair at work. Around my ankle is swollen and in the last 24 hours my foot keeps going numb followed by pins and needles followed by numbness. I have injure the same ankle numerous times I the past and it has only ever swollen before should I be worried. I heard a noise from my ankle at time of injury but it took 2-3 hours for swelling to start, pain started instantly I wore a compression bandage until it began to feel tight about the same time as the numbness started. Haven't placed another bandage on yet the numbness/pins and needles cycle continues. I have only taken paracetamol for the pain - can't take ibuprofen as I am asthmatic. What is the best thing I can do as I can't bare weight on it and have to look after my 3 year old
