Tried Some Meth Before A Surgery. Should She Reschedule It? Any Effect?

my friend is not a regular user of meth , but tried some, & kindof alot (which she regrets now) she did it about 60 hrs. before her surgery , she will have general anesthesia and possibly an epidural ...its not an invasive surgery & it will only be 1hr.1/2 that shes supposed to be out, but should she reshcedule for another week?

Hi there. Thank you for posting your question with Healthcaremagic. I will do my best to help you.

Yes, now that you suggest it, I think that your friend should reschedule her surgery. Or certainly, if she does not want to do that, she will need to come clean with her anaesthetist and tell him or her what she has been up to.

On no account should she just turn up for surgery and say nothing. That would be crazy. Anaesthetics and drugs no not mix.

I hope that I have answered your questions fully and been of some help. If you have anymore questions please contact me again anytime.
