Dear Dr. Keerthi, I suffered a mini-stroke some time ago. For some reason I began falling and ended up suffering two very severe concussions. I then started to have non-epileptic seizures as well as PCS. My neurologist (who I know longer see) put me through a series of tests. My contrast/no contrast showed that I was suffering from Chronic Ischemic Brain Disease however this was never discussed in full or explained to me by my previous neurologist. I was diagnosed at age 56. I have high blood pressure and did have high cholesterol. My memory is terrible and now I have fibromyalgia. I am too young to not be able to work and too young to have such fatigue. I know this disease is not reversible but no one has told me what to do to stop it from developing further. I am doing a lot of research online but nothing conclusive. I used to smoke but I do not smoke now. Try to eat healthy, do a little exercise and limit alcohol. I seem to be getting worse. Any advise you could provide me with would be greatly appreciated. I have even considered trying to find a clinical study being performed on people with this particular disease but does not seem to be anything going on in this area right now for clinical studies of the disease.
