Took Rabies Vaccine, Rabies Immunoglobulin Injection, Tetanus Injection After Dog Bite. Take Booster Injection Also?

Respected Sir, I had Dog bite on 3 rd dec 2012, i had taken rabis vaccine does, 0,3,7,14 & 28 and same day I have taken RABIES IMMUNOGLUBULIN INJECTION ALSO. I had taken TT inj after 1 week dog bite. i am 48 years old & diabetic ( MY SUGAR LEVELS ALWAYS NORMAL under control) Shall I take booster inj on 90th day. Please advice. In today s eenadu paper I saw 17 year old boy died after dog bite 5 months, (after taking vaccines) Every day night I eat one onion along with dinner. Thanks & regards, Sincerely yours, S. Thank you for your query,
Nothing to worry as you have completed the complete schedule of anti rabies vaccination including the anti rabies immunoglobulin.
Anti rabies vaccine on 90th day is optional, but I advise you to take that one also.
Don't get anxious by reading on news papers as the information some times may not be right completely as full timely vaccination along with wound washing and immunoglobulin will give almost 99.9 percent protection.
And there is need to avoid any food and no food restriction after dog bite.
Please kindly inform to the municipal authorities about that dog, so that the officials will take preventive measures and to catch the dog.
