due to misinformation I used premolut n as a kind of contraceptive after sex. However few days to my period date, I took two pills again. Now my menstruation is delayed. A first I thought I was pregnant but then upon research, I found out that the drug can be used to delay menstrual cycle, but I ddnt even take the right dosage for that.should I just take the right dosage or? Am confused what should I do?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Progesterone hormone helps to maintain the pregnancy.
So, taking progesterone pills after intercourse may not prevent the pregnancy.
As you took the pills before periods, that might have led to continuation of progesterone support.
That can lead to delay in periods.
So, wait for one more week.
Possibly by that time you will get withdrawal bleeding.
If not consult gynecologist once, get examined to rule out the possibility of pregnancy either by pregnancy test or ultrasound.
Then go for tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding.
Take care.
