Hi, Good idea in taking an emergency contraceptive pill right away, its one of the best ways to counter a condom breaking up on you. As for the bleeding, its most likely because your period is early this month, this can happen as a result of your emotional stress. But to make sure that you arent pregnant, take a home pregnancy test or go to a doctor and ask him to test your blood for signs of pregnancy. Yes you should continue having your period normally, if you arent prengnant.
I hope this answered your question.
