Dear lizberena2k8 thanks for your question Cytotec or misoprostol is a drug that is used to induce abortion in early stages of pregnancy, it basically increases uterine tone and cause termination of pregnancy. You have taken 2 oral tabs and 6 by vaginal route, but it failed to induce abortion and now you are in 11th wk. Misoprostol is a teratogenic drug and there is some probablity of birth defect in form of small head, mental retardation, spinal cord abnormalities, cardiac defects etc. But as USG is normal so luckily we can hope that there is no major defect.
