Tightness In Chest. On Corguard. All Tests Normal. History Of Having Mytrovalve Prolapse. Advice
My husband has mytrovalve prolapse since he was twenty years of age he's fifty two now. Sometimes like tonight he gets tightness in his chests and can't relax. I gave him aspirin and had him drink a half of glass of old vine zin to relax him so he can sleep. I worrie cause he's been to heart doctor who had him do numerous tests and find nothing? He takes corguard rt now like 10mg 2x a day. We're just baffled they don't find nothing. What other tests can determine what causes these symptoms to keep triggering?

I really understand your concern, as such your husband have history of mitral valve, and right now having chest complain in such situation I asked my patient if have same medical history, for angiography test, because it is long being your husband have mitral valve disease, so now he needs complete cardiac evaluation to rule out the possibility of Ischemic heart disease, because it is more likely to such patient, take care of your husband have nice day.
