Thyroid Problem, Taking Thyronorm During Pregnancy, Started Lower Dosage After Delivery, TSH Level Went Down. Reason?
Hi doctor , my wife got thyroid problem she was taking Thyronorm100 mg during pregnency and after delivery- till 2 months. her TSH level was within normal range in these days. After 2 months she started to take 75 mg till to day and when i check her TSH level yesterday it was 0.121 lower than normal range. Please advise me the dosage. Is it ok with continuing to take 100 mg.
Welcome to HCM. During pregnancy sometime any underlying condition becomes exaggerated like blood pressure, sugar, thyroid etc. Now your report showing very low tsh level that means she requires specific dose management and review his medical condition. According to me at this level of tsh 100 mg. is not advisable Go for complete thyroid profile (free t3,t4 and tsh ) consult endocrinologist for better guidance and medical management.
