Thyroid Patient, Hb 8.2, Swollen Face, Limb Pain

Sir, i am 40yrs old a thyroid patient for last 17yrs,my problem is that though my TSH is 1.68 which is normal but my Hb is 8.2 which shows that i am anemic.and these days i feel swelling on my face and feet.there is pains in hands and legs sometime i am not able to walk.pl. guide me that whom should i consult.thank you

Hello;
Thanks for your query.
In females it is common to get low haemoglobin (anaemia) due to monthly loss of blood.you need to take a healthy diet and as your Hb is 8.2 you will need to take iron supplement tablets.You can consult your treating physician who is treating you for thyroid and he will write you a prescription of iron tablets which you will need to take for longer period like 2-3 months.
