Thyroid, Multinodular Goitre, Heavy Menstrual Bleeding. Ultrasound Scan Normal. Any Suggestion?

hi, I was given a medication for an overactive thyroid, multinodular goitre for 4 months, my first and subsequent periods whilst on the medication and still now since stopping the medication have gone from 5-7 days bleeding down to 2-3 days bleeding but still at regular intervals, could the medication I was given actually cause this to happen, and if so how can I reverse it? also I am still experiencing some hot cold moments, I am 30 years old with two children, have not had this problem before, have always had small clots and heavy regular periods for 15 years, have had ultrasounds, no period pain for the last 7 years. my thyroid is only now slightly overactive and being monitored quarterly, any advice would be appreciated. I am not happy to go on the pill as they do not need regulating and I would like more children. I also noticed the colour of the 2nd and 3rd day of my periods are since different to what they have always been, I have had swabs, pap smear etc.... all fine. thanks.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Dear ma'm , hi! as you had hyperthyroidism, you were facing menorrhagia, and even metromenorrhagia, now as your thyroid function is coming under control your menstrual flow is also getting regulated. I don't think you need to worry , rather you should be more at ease now. Regards and stay healthy and enjoy a healthy life and healthy period.
