I went in for my annual pap smear. My dr called and said I was positive for herpes. I felt like I blacked out so I called back the next day. The nurse said honey we don t even test for that. Then she called again and said the dr has seen it on a pap before and it will be positive. I had a blood test and it came back positive for hsv1 not 2. My dr said I have genital hsv1. Ive never had any symptoms, curious bumps and been in a relationship for over 2 years. And I ve had cold sore since high school. How do I know if i have genital herpes???
