Hello,
Lichen planus - no pathogen is involved and not a contagious. It may be an allergic reaction or occur as a side effect of certain drugs (drug-induced lichenoid reactions). As such no specific treatments are available. Cortisone, Immuno suppressants, avoiding sun stroke may of use.Your Dr has already given these drugs and sun block, Continue that treatment along with phototherapy by ultraviolet B (UVB) light.
Antihistaminic and avoiding any drugs which you feel that it may trigger the condition may be helpful.
Once cured the marks will disappear in due course
With all these treatments it may subside to a dormant stage but there is a possibility of recurrence.
Best wishes
