Taking Concor. Dropped Heart Rate. Advised To Stop Medicine. Will This Lead To Any Problems?

I have been taking concor 2.5mg for nearly 2 years now. However, my heart rate has been dropping to 60 and my BP is around 118 - 125. My doctor has advised me to take half a tablet for a month and then stop it. Will I face any problems once I stop? I also suffer from low platelet count which my doctor says could be related to taking concor

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Bisoprolol (concor ) is the tablet , which ,you are taking from last 2 years.
Th side effect of concor is decrease in heart rate or bradycardia i.e.less than 60 beats / minute.
Sudden stopping of drug will produce withdrawal symptoms , so taper this drug very slowly as 1/2 tablet on alternate day .
Than twice in a week ,
once in a week.
One course for one month.
Good luck.
