Taking Phentermine, Experiencing Mild Dizziness, Nausea, BP, Sugar Normal. Due To Side Effects? When Will It Subside?

I have been taking 1/2 of 37.5 tablet of Phentermine daily for past 18 days. Mild dizziness here and there. However today I woke up VERY dizzy today and every time I move my head or get up and down it worsens and I feel nauseous. I checked and my blood pressure is normal and my blood sugar is in the normal range. My guess is that the Phenteremine has built up in my system is causing it. I am taking no other medications. I am going to stop taking the phentermine. My question is how long will it take for the dizziness to subside?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Dizziness is a possible side effect of this medication.

Phentermine has a half life of 16 to 31 hours. The half life of a medication is the time it takes for the amount of medication in the system to decrease by half.

It takes 3 to 5 half lives for a medication to completely leave the body. Based on phentermine's half life this means that it could take 48 hours (2 days) to 155 hours (6 1/2 days).

The dizziness should resolve within a 2 to 4 days of discontinuing the medication.

I hope this helps

Hello,
Dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, constipation are the known side effects of PHENTERMINE.
Half life of PHENTERMINE is 16- 31 hours.
You require appox 5 half life tor the drug to be excreted completely out from your system and this works out to be 80-155 hours.
In effect it becomes approximately between 3.5 days to 7 days for the drug to be totally out from your system.
Thanks
