What Could Fluids In Ear With Dizziness Suggest?
Hi, I have had 4 mastoidectomies on my left ear, i am currently experiencing fluid in ear a lot and also dizziness particularly if wind gets into my ear. I informed my ENT surgeon who sent me for a CT scan which i have had done but dont see doctor for another month. She did mention something about poisening my ear and more surgery - can you advise what this means please...

It is wonderful to know that 4 surgeries are performed on a single ear, very rare to know. Get your HbA1c and blood sugars done you may be diabetic needing repeated surgery due to a condition called malignant otitis. Also, look for any other medical condition like tuberculosis of ear causing persistent problems. If your doctor has suggested you another surgery better to take a second opinion of another senior ENT Surgeon doing most work with ears. This way only you may be cured. Take appropriate medicines for long time if there are any associated medical conditions.
