Taking Lexapro. Have Anxiety And Sadness. Due To Different Medicine Manufacturer?
I have been taking generic Lexapro for about a year now. It is manufactured by Mylam. But I picked up my prescription this month, and the manufacturer is changed to Cambridge. I feel like I am going through withdrawals or something. Anxiety and sadness has come back within a week. Will I get used to it? Could it be the different manufactuer?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Check for content of medication and dosage . changes in dosage form causes symptoms to appear again. Proportion of absorption, some times varies with different manufacture companies. If your symptoms were well controlled with previous medication. continue same company medications. Consult your doctor for examination and management. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr. Vidya
