Swollen/tender Throat/neck Directly Under The Jaw With Painful Chewing, Congestion, Sore Throat( Tonsils Removed)?

My throat/neck directly under my jaw is swollen and tender. It is only on one side. It is painful to chew. I have had congestion and a sore throat for about a week. My tonsils were removed years ago. I have not run a fever. I am a white male, non smoker 52 yoa.

Hello

Swelling under the jaw can either be an infected lymph node or a infected sbmandibular saliavary gland although the latter is more likely since you are having pain while swallowing.
Please meet your ent doctor/dentist for examination and advice. You will need antibiotics for the infection.
Dont worry, you will be fine!
