Hi, I fell off my horse yesterday and landed on my lower back/right hip, this area is swollen and warm to the touch with like a fuzzy feeling when I touch it!! It worsens and stiffens when I'm sat or laying but is very painful? I'm taking ibruprofen and paracetamol .. Am I just to wait for the swelling to go down? Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hallo , thanks for writing to HCM
I am Dr vaibhav Gandhi, I am orthopaedic surgeon and spine specialist.
I have studied your case.

This kind of pain is due to blunt trauma and muscle spasm

You need muscle relaxant with analgesic by consulting doctor
Here are my suggestions to you:
Avoid lifting weights
Sit with taking support to your back
Continue spine extension exercises
Physiotherapy – SWD (Short Wave Diathermy), IFT (Interference Therapy). Please consult a physiotherapy that could help you with this.

Take care
