Swollen Bump On The Vaginal Lips
I have a bump on the top outer lip of my vagina where the hair is, I squeezed it as I thought it was an ingrown hair and wanted to get it out. Now it appears to be really infected and grew to the size of a quarter and is very firm. It really hurts now and is all swollen in that area. What is this and what should I do to get the swelling down?

Based on the information provided by you, you might have had a furuncle ( Suppurative infection of hair follicle).
In the first place you should not have squeezed it. Anywayz as it is infected you need to take antibiotic preferably a cephalosporin ( Cefixime 100 mg twice daily) along with metronidazole or ornidazole ( twicw daily). Along with that you need to take anti inflammatory drugs. Using medicines which contain Tryosin and chymotrypsin or serratio peptidase will reduc the swelling to a great extent..
Hot water sponging would help you relieve the pain and swelling and it also helps in organising the abscess.
Clean the area daily with Betadine solution.
If there is pus pointing from the swelling , it should be drained.
Please see a surgeon or a gynaec and take treatment ( medicines/ drainage)accordingly.
