Swelling On The Forehead. Surgery Suggested For Lipoma. Will There Be Any Complication In The Future If Not Removed?
I have a small swelling on the right side on my forehead. Once I had consulted a surgeion who suggested me to get it investigated and the report said that it is a lipoma. Further he suggested me to get it operated which I did not do. Can I do it now. There is no pain. Only it looks bad on my face. If I leave it as it is then will there any complication further? Please suggest.

Regarding lipoma,it is a painless swelling,non tender,freely mobile,skin can be pinched of from that swelling..
Lipoma is a benign tumor(non-cancerous) of fat cells..which grows very very slowly..
It doesn't cause any problems unless for cosmetic purposes..
If you are facing bad on your face then go for surgery,,done under local anesthesia less than 10 min procedure..
Lipoma getting complications is a rare entity
Consult general surgeon and remove your lipoma.
