What can I take or do reduce the swelling and the pain? I've been drinking water only and cranberry juice thinking it is a bladder infection till I seen the swelling
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Above features are mostly associated with UTI. Swelling & itchiness around clitoris may be associated with pre-existing infection.
Kindly consult with your gynecologist for pelvic examination to pin point the diagnosis. Routine urine examination is also to be done. Take proper antibiotic medicine along with some anti-spasmodics and urine alkalizer.
Drink more water and cranberry juice. Maintain genital hygiene before & after sexual intercourse. Practice protected sex until it is completely resolved.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
