Hello,

The wrist pain and swollen thumb can be related to a tendon injury or an inflammation. There can be inflammation of ligaments at the wrist. A direct examination is needed for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
