Suggest Treatment For Weight Loss After Throid Removal

I had my thyroid removed in March because of bad biopsies. I am not on synthroid. Since March I have gained almost 10 lbs., I am exercising every day and eat a fairly healthy diet, so that shouldn't be the cause of the weight gain. My last blood tst by TSH (3rd generation) was .02 and my T4 was 1.4. My doctor wants to lower my medication. I am afraid I am going to gain more weight, what is going on?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have history of weight gain and low TSH level so your history and reports seems contradictory.

You need to check free T3, Free T4 and TSH again at different laboratory. If your TSH level comes low again then go for lowering the dosage of medication. Your weight gain may be due to some other reason.

Hope I have answered your question. if you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
