Hi, thanks for your question.
I understand your worries, but since the pain has been subsiding, your doctors are on the right track.
However, the first set of tests to accurately diagnose
unstable angina are the 12-lead electrocardiogram(ECG) and cardiac enzymes test. The latter uses the concentration of chemicals produced in the heart to diagnose problems with the heart.
Furthermore, isorbide and librax are not the first line drugs, and thus are relatively poor for the treatment of angina.
Aspirin or cloppidogrel, fat-lowering drugs such as
rosuvastatin, and betablocking drugs such as atenonol are the best drugs for treating unstable angina. You might want to review these with your doctors.
Additionally, i believe the
endoscopy test you referred to is to exclude
heartburn and other esophageal problems. If those are excluded, angina becomes the sole definitive diagnosis.
I hope i have answered your question.
Best wishes.
