Suggest Treatment For Swollen Nose

I am a 45yr old female. No history of allergies. Last year I went to dr for a sore in my nose that I was used to every winter. I attributed this to a cold sore. Only went to dr cause spread to both nostrils so badly that couldn t touch my nose without crying. Coincidentally I started having boilss that started out looking like pimples but got size of quaryers on my stomach and thighs. Dr still did nothing. Nose still constantly clogged but obly swollen and blood when blow it. Now have grape size node with surrounding redness on aureola. What s happening to me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The boils can be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle. I suggest using a saline nasal spray for local applications. I also suggest using an antibiotic cream at the boil area such as Neosporin cream. If the symptoms continue, you should see an ENT specialist for a physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
