Suggest Treatment For Swollen Glands In Neck And Under Jaw
I am a 34 yr old married mom and career woman. I had a bartholin gland cyst on my right Labia..(painful and humiliating) It ruptured on it's own, I am currently antibiotics, but now I have noticed swelling of my saliva gland under my tongue and my neck both sides under my jaw. I haven't felt good for about a month. Ran down and tired.. Should I be concerened or just finish my antibiotics and allow it to run it's course?
Swollen glands in neck and under jaw are pointing towards blockage of duct of salivary gland with stone or any foreign body which can block the flow of saliva into the mouth.
It could be due to tooth abscess as well. There are methods for removing stone from the duct like suck on lemon candy and slight probe with instrument.
If these techniques don’t work the removal of gland will the only option left and this is very safe. These days, doctors are using a newer and less invasive technique called sialendoscopy to remove salivary gland stones. So, consult ENT specialist and get it treated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
