Otolaryngologist/ENT Doctor 's  Response
Hi,

The clinical symptoms that you provided if associated with fever could be suggestive of an infection in the throat. Please gargle with warm salt water thrice daily for 5 days. Anti-inflammatory medications could be helpful. You may probably need a course of an antibiotic. Please consult your doctor and follow his/her advice.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr. Prasad
