Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that you are suffering from bacterial or viral throat infection and burning sensation in mouth and salty taste is due to Burning mouth syndrome and it seems most probably due to dry mouth..

Nothing to worry consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case if there is dry mouth treatment of the same can help while if not other common causes like nutritional deficiency [iron, vitamin B12 and folic acid], allergic reaction to medicines, acid reflux etc. can be looked for and treated accordingly..

As of now do warm saline gargles for relieving throat..
Chew a sugarfree chewing gum as it will help in stimulating saliva flow and will improve the salty taste..
Drink plenty of water..
For burning mouth gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine will help.
Start taking a multivitamin tablet daily for 1 month..
Suck on ice pops as it will soothe burning sensation..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
