Suggest Treatment For Side Effects After Taking Eptoin
I am a 23 yrs old girl i went through a knee surgery last year on 23 may 2011 after surgery on the same day i had a seizure attack that was not epileptic but my dr started a medicine named eptoin 100mg thrice a day i completed one full year of taking this medicine now a days i am feeling some side effects i am complaining severe headache n i completely black out sometimes i forgot many things n its very shocking for me because my memory is very sharp i can remember dates event n even many small talks n conversations also dr suggested me that i cant stop this medicine wat can i do pls suggest me

Yes phenytoin may cause drowsyness, disorientation, gingival hypertrophy, headache and vomiting.
Long term intake lead to ataxia also in few patients. But many alternatives are there so you may consult with your treating doctor he may advice alternative like levetricetam etc. I think I answered your question still have queries please feel free to ask.
