Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/ Madam

Does passive movements of your toes/ ankle cause pain in the calf. Are you on blood thinners like Warfarin?. Examination of peripheral pulses is to be done. Compartment syndrome should be ruled out. It is recommend to elevate your leg under two pillows and to do active toe movements and visit your treating doctor.

Other possibilities could be contusion of your calf muscles,
Deep vein thrombosis .
