Suggest Treatment For Severe Tooth Pain

Hi, I live in England and I am debating whether I should go to the ER. I had a toothache on Friday and I took two Paracetamol (500mg) at about 7:30 pm, then took another at about 10:40 because the pain hadn't really subsided. I went out with friends after and a total of 3 Long Island Ice teas ( has vodka, gin and rum in it) between 11:50-1:30 am. My tooth was still bothering me so I went home and at about 2:30, I took two more pills. Still didn't really work so at about 6 am, I took one and let the other dissolve on my tooth to sooth the pain. Saturday after going to the dentist, I took two more at 3 and then two Ibruprofens at 6 pm. And Sunday morning at about 12 am, I took two more Paracetamols. I too much in pain to worry about if there was 4 hours in between every pill I took and so I'm worried that, combined with the alcohol, I may have accidentally overdosed. I'm having minor pain, on and off, on my right side where I know my liver would be but I can't tell if it is just gas or if I actually have taken too much.

Hi

In general it's safe to take up to 2000 mg of acetaminophen in a 24 hour period without any liver damage. You somewhat exceeded that here but most likely no real harm done. I would suggest you see your doctor to check your liver enzymes and for now not take any more paracetamol
