Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Lower Right Side Of Abdomen
I have a horrible lower right side pain. This happens about once every six months right after I eat a meal. I have had ultrasounds, hospital visits, and tests on my appendix which always come back negative. During my hospital visit they said I was a little dehydrated and hooked me to an IV for about 30 min and then sent me home. The pain lasts 2-5 days and I can hardly walk. I will sometimes vomit on the onset of pain. I am also constipated and unable to pass gas. I have been unable to pinpoint which food is causing the pain. My entire stomach feels full of air, however the severe pain is the lower right side. Hurts when you push on it. I ve tried taking peoto bismol when I feel it starting and it doesn t help. I understand that this problem could just be debilitating gas, however it is effecting my life and my job. I can t go to work when I can t walk. I wish there was something I could take when I feel it starting to hurt to stop it before it gets worse. Any suggestions? Thank you.
If you are middle aged or above 50 years old then please look for alteration in your bowel habits such as some episode of diarrhoea then constipation etc.
I would recommend you to undergo upper and lower GI endoscopy to make sure any pathology such as obstruction or stricture in the colon or mass.
Please avoid eating non-veg food and maida items such as white bread, parotha. Try to increase more consumption of fibers in diet. I would be waiting to hear from you regarding your endoscopy result.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
