Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

I had a false testicle removed about a week ago, my scrotum was sutured with dissolveable sutures and since this time I have had severe headaches during the day and at night around the same time I have severe anal itching and itching around the incision? Can someone help?

Thank you for Writing to us

I have gone through your case and think that you have an infection or an allergy which is leading to the headache.

Every time that skin is cut, there is a release of some amount of histamine into the body. This histamine causes vasodilation and itching. Along with this, it can also be a trigger factor for a headache.

Before I suggest any further treatment, your surgical wound should be clean and should not have any discharge. If there is any blood oozing from it, then see your Doctor immediately.

You can combat the itching and the headache by trying these:
- Drink lots of water
- Take 1 tablet of Cetirizine 10 mg once a day
- Take 2 tablets of Paracetamol 500 mg daily
- Sleep and rest well

I hope this helps you. All the best.
