Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough

Hi a few days ago my boyfriend was coughing super hard and said he felt like something in his head popped. instantly he had a really bad pain in the lower back side of his head. we took him to the er and they did a cat scan, it came back normal then they did a lumbar puncture, it came back normal. they send him home with some vicodin but the pain is still there really bad. i hate seeing him suffer. he doesnt have health insurance so he doesnt want to go to another ER. what could it be?

Hi. I have read your query and according to me u should go for xray chest .pft and oxygen saturation. If he is smoker then abstinence smoking.thanks for using HCm.
