Hi, Most probably you may be having candidal balanoposthitis. It is a fungal infection caused by candida albicans. Poor hygiene, nutritional deficiencies,poor immunity, DM,HIV,infection in you wife..all such factors should be considered. Investigations may be done to rule out suggested diseases. You consult dermatologist to have firm diagnosis and treatment. Antifungal like ketoconazole or itraconazole for two weeks would be helpful to alleviate the disease. Itching may be relieved by antihistaminics like levocetirizine. Short course of antibiotics may be taken. Antifungal cream like clotrimazole might improve the condition.
