Suggest Treatment For Rashes And Fever In Kid

My son broke out in a really bad inflamed rash today and is running 101 degree fever. We were swimming in the lake earlier and the rash came out of nowhere. It is all over his diaper area, back, chest, and under his arms. He has been crying off and on like he is in physical pain. Any ideas?

Hi...By what you quote I feel that it could be a -

1. Viral exanthem
2. Contact dermatitis
3. Toxic urticaria which could again be viral related.

I suggest you get in touch with your pediatrician regarding this. I am telling this because - Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.
