Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sore Throat And Swollen Lymph Nodes

Jessica, 21 year old Female. It started about 3 years ago. I went to see my PCP for a persistent sore throat and swollen lymph nodes that were only on the right side of my throat/neck. My PCP prescribed me an antibiotic, Amoxicillian I believe. When I returned about 2 weeks or so later, my PCP was concerned that the swollen lymph nodes had not gone down. He referred me to an ENT, and ordered blood test, including thyroid. My sister has hyperthyroidism and graves disease. Everything came back normal. The ENT told me it wasn’t too much to be concerned about, the nodes were moveable and rubbery and weren’t very large. He prescribed me a different kind of antibiotics. After completely the antibiotics, a few months went by with no change. The area with the enlarged lymph nodes would sometime become painful and made it difficult to swallow. I went back to the ENT, who then ordered a CT w/ contrast. He called me with the results, and told me that he could see the lymph nodes on the CT, but didn’t feel that it was anything to worry about and I would only do further testing if I really wanted it, which I declined because he made me feel as I was wasting his time. Since then the enlarged lymph nodes have remained. I sometimes get muscle spasms in my front neck throat when yawning. My neck/throat continues to look bigger and enlarged than what it use to look like. I sometimes experience swelling on just the right side, and pain when swallowing just on the right side. I went to the ER one day when the swelling got really bad and I had difficulty swallowing. The doctor tested me for Mono, strep and ran a CBC. CBC came back normal, and mono and strep were negative. He told me it was just allergies, even though I don’t experience any other allergy symptoms. He told me to take Zyrtec over the counter and saline nasal spray. After doing this, it made me symptoms worse and the Zyrtec caused me to sleep for unusually long hours. I tried other allergy medicines that have just done the same thing and haven’t helped my symptoms. My voice also sounds weak, like im losing it, but I don’t lose it. I want to go see another ENT or allergist, but these bad experiences make me feel as though I’m wasting everyone’s time.
