Suggest Treatment For Pain Over A Dent In The Rib Cage Area

I have a dent in the right side of my rib cage. I don't know how long I've had it for but I remember having it for at least one year. Before I go to bed or before I get out of bed I feel some sharp pains over that dent and on the back of my rib cage too. What does it mean? And how can I get rid of the pains?

Hi. I can understand your concern.
If the chest pain is disturbing your routine activity then get a chest x ray done to rule out any lung infection or it could be just a muscle pull. Do not lift heavy weights
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more.
Ibuprofen is anti inflammatory.
You will definitely improve with combination of painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Also apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Avoid movements causing pain.
Don't worry, you will be alright in 1-2 weeks.
But better to first rule out lung infection.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks
