Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Ear Leading To Impaired Hearing

My husband has a terrible ear ache...even the side of his head is swelling (around the ear)...a P.A. gave him a scrip for a Z pak and drops...he has taken two doses of the pills and has been using the drops for two days. He now says it feels like it is swelling shut, he can not hear out of that ear now. He is feeling sharp pains every once in a while....No one can see him until Thursday....is there anything we can do?

Hi dear....after reading your query.....i think you should try nasal decongestant drops along with a course of amoxyclav and pain killers....i'll not suggest any ear drops until you see an ent specialist.....also you can take some steam inhalation...i hope this will help you till thursday or till you see a specialist..
