Dear Sir My Mother is 73 year old since 1999 she take medicine for osteoarthritis noting has helped her to recover now she was advice by the doctors to replace her knee Patellofemoral kindly let me know is there any other possibility unless replace her knee Patellofemoral to recover . Mahesh

Knee replacement is the definitive treatment option for osteoarthritis. If you can not tolerate the procedure you can try drugs like bisphosphonates.

You can also try steroid injection which provides longer pain-free intervals.
