Suggest Treatment For Nausea With Increased Saliva During Pregnancy

hi, im pregnat my doctor gave me metoclopramide for vomiting and nausea. but my problem is that, i cannot control to much watering or saliva coming from my mouth and i always spit. what i always do i put foods in side my mouth to chew or just to stop it for awhile. this is my second pregnancy and it worst of spitting problem. thanks Dr.

It sounds like you have a condition called ptyalism. It is not serious or dangerous for the pregnancy, but it can certainly be annoying. I give my patients the following link and agree with the following advise
-frequent small meals
-avoid too much starchy foods
-frequent small sips of water
-lots of protein snacks
-try saltines - works great for some people
