Suggest Treatment For Nausea And Pain In Upper Body After Taking Insulin
i was recently diagnosed with hepatitus C which was caused by blood transfusions years ago - my diabetes doctor recently put me on insulin (Lantus) however I have been through two different types of Insulin and I get very sick with nausea and pain from front to back on my right upper side - can you help me?
Is it the insulin itself that is making you sick and nauseated? Or does the pain come after eating? Pain in the right upper abdomen is usually associated with gallbladder or liver problems. The most common cause of right upper quadrant pain is gallstones in the gallbladder. This can be diagnosed using an ultrasound, and they can also look at your liver and see how healthy it is. Given your history of hepatitis, you should have liver enzymes, a right upper quadrant ultrasound looking at your level, and alphafetoprotein levels every 6 months (a liver cancer marker). I'd say the cause of your nausea and pain is likely your gallbladder. Pay attention to the pain and see if it occurs after eating.
I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
