My Opthamologist is sending me to a retinologist I'm not sure of what he found but said something about the retina and a thickening of the macula. Ihad ashort time ago aked him if I showed any sighns of macula degenerations and he said no.This time I asked it was diabetic retinopath. He said no. Also what is the test that will be done that could take all day.I just had the test where I looked into the machine with flashing lights i think it's called the otc test or something similar I also get a field test a least once each year

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having macular thickening. This is called as cystoid macular edema.
The common causes for this condition are inflammations, vascular occlusions, diabetes....
You require to undergo tests like ocular coherence tomography (OCT) and fundus fluorescein angiography and evaluation for the common causes and treatment accordingly.

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist or preferably a retina specialistr for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
