General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely sciatica caused by intervertebral disc herniation. Initially consevative therapy can be tried. I usually give NSAIDs like aceclofenac muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside and neurotropic drugs. I also send them to physiotherapy along with this. If there is no improvement then you cango fsurgical curcorrection. Microdiscectomy , lamlaminectomy or chemo nucleation are usually done to correct that . Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries.
