Suggest Treatment For Intolerable Itching

Hi,

I am 30-31 weeks pregnant. I have been experiencing intolerable itching, especially at night so I asked my ob-gyne to run some blood tests on my liver. She asked for my SGOT and SGPT to be tested:

Below are the results of my tests 2 days ago:

SGOT: 112.8 U/L
SGPT: 238.6 U/L

I understand that the normal values for SGOT as indicated is 0-40 U/L and SGPT is 0-38 U/L.

My urine is dark-colored when I wake up but I dink enough water. I do not drink alcoholic beverages.

The only meds I take are my pre-natal vitamins and calium. I was given Amoxyxillin, Terbutaline/Guiafens (Bricanyl expectorant) when I had flu about 3 weeks ago. I also had anti-flu and anti-tetanus shots last month. These are my recent activities.

I have been tested for HBsAg (RAPID) screening on September 2011 and it turns out to be nonreactive.

Should i have my doctor run more tests? Should I go to a liver specialist? Is this dangerous for me and my baby? What are the possible reasons that my ALT and AST are high?

Please answer. I am worried because I am pregnant.

Thanks,

Karen
