Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Leg And Hand Pain After Chemotherapy

My husband is 83 years old. he has had nine chemo treatments beginning march 1 until june 21 of 2011.he has been treated with folfox x7 and avastin. he did not receive his last chemo on july 13th but got two units of blood. in the last month he has been having intermitent leg, arm & hand pain. it is so servere that it keeps him from sleeping at night. He is 5'6 and now weighs 148. he had colon cancer surgery on jan 17 of 2011.

is this from the chemo and what do you advise

The leg and hand pain after chemotherapy is called peripheral neuropathy which is a result of nerve damage which often weakness, numbness and pain, usually in your hands and feet, but it may also occur in other areas of your body.
I would suggest u take Pregabalin tablets 150 mg twice daily after food for 3 months.
The pain sometimes takes 3 to 4 months to go away totally.
